Shermanbury Parish Good Neighbour Award

Do you know a someone in Shermanbury or Wineham who’s a “Good Neighbour” and helps someone by doing good turns or favours that’s made their life that little bit easier. Good deeds such as inviting them in for tea or lunch now and again, regularly giving them lift, helping with gardening or shopping, looking after the children or walking the dog.

Anyone can nominate a Shermanbury “good neighbour” who’s helped out someone or does good deeds. Just complete the nomination form by following the link below:


Nominees must not be a close relative.

Closing date for receipt of nomination is 30th April 2017.

The final winner will be chosen by The Rev Paul Doick, Rector of St Giles church and local author and psychologist, Dr Angela Lightburn. There will be opportunities for photographs at the award presentation which will take place at the Parish Council’s annual general meeting in May 2017.

The prize is lunch for two at the Royal Oak, kindly sponsored by Mike and Sharon Bailey, and a commendation certificate awarded by the Parish Council.
