Horsham & District Health Walks May

All welcome to guided, free, sociable, HDC walks led by trained volunteers; no need to book, just turn-up at the start point. A booklet containing over 250 walks is available from the Walks Co-ordinator on 07720 714306 or online at www.horshamhealthwalks.co.uk Beginners are recommended to contact the Walk Leader to discuss suitability. All walks can be wet and muddy in places. Forthcoming walks in the Shermanbury Parish and neighbouring areas are as follows:-

(2238) Every Sunday & Wednesday 2:30pm: Horsham Welcome Walks A 2 mile walk taking 90 minutes Meet at the Museum in the Causeway. Horsham is a lovely place to live but do you know much about its history? Join us for a walk around Horsham centre and learn more about where we live and work.  (1033) Wed 10 & 24 May 10:00am: Henfield Byways Meet at Henfield Library, High Street, Henfield, BN5 9HN. A lovely gentle 2/3 mile walk, taking one hour, around the twittens, ginnells and snickets of Henfield. Walk can be extended if any walkers wish to walk further. No dogs. Leader: Anne 01273 493671

  (2172) Thu 18 May 10:00am: Nuthurst A 5 mile circular walk with a few stiles through woods and across farmland taking 2¼ hours. Meet in the car park at the Black Horse public house, Nuthurst, RH13 6LH (TQ192262) No dogs please as we may encounter livestock. Leader: Mike 01403 242564

(1548) Mon 22 May 10:30am: Park and Hop from Hop Oast  Meet at the Hop Oast Park and Ride, Horsham Worthing Road, RH13 0AR. A 2 mile walk, taking one hour. Bus 23 and 98 from Horsham takes you to the Park and Ride. We walk through the new golf course and take a gentle stroll down through one of several routes in Denne Park/Chesworth into Horsham in time for coffee. Alternatively, you can park in the Park and Ride, walk into Horsham, and get the bus back. Don’t forget your bus pass. Sorry No dogs. Leaders: Jill 07780 701184 or Jean 07734 323321
